Ethica Accessories Helping the Impoverished Women of Peru

Ethica Accessories Helping the Impoverished Women of Peru

The Pisco People believe in, and support, the work of Ethica Accessories, a fair trade company of Mary MacKillop International.

This not-for-profit organisation is committed to helping impoverished women in Peru by providing sustainable employment, training and fair income in four marginalised communities: two on the outskirts of Lima, Pitumarca and Tarma.

In each of these communities, started by the Sisters of Saint Joseph, the women receive cash-in-hand payments for their products which include a range of beautiful alpaca goods, wraps and scarves, bags and accessories, baby blankets, baby booties, and much more.

The income they earn provides their families with basics such as food, medicine, medical services and school supplies. It also give these women a chance to develop their skills and abilities, which in turn improves their confidence and dignity, and opens doors to other opportunities.

The Pisco People support Ethica Accessories with donations and fundraising activities, as well as awareness raising of the work they do, to demonstrate our continued support of the Peruvian community whom we adore.

You can also make a difference in the lives of these women and support Ethica Accessories by purchasing these quality handmade fair trade products online direct from their website http://w
